HE HAS THE BEST JOB ON WALL STREET. BUT THE BONUS IS A KILLER. New York Times bestselling author Stephen Frey writes thrillers of "ruthless financial terror" (Chicago Tribune), where "Grisham meets Ludlum on Wall Street " (USA Today). Now Frey takes us even deeper into the volatile world or raw ambition and deadly maneuvers. Jay West is thrilled to land a job with Oliver Mason, a deal maker with the Midas touch . Even better is the million-dollar bonus Jay is promised at year's end. But Jay soon begins to suspect that Mason's stunning success has a dark side, and that Jay himself may lose everything by revealing it. As deceit and corruption threaten to overwhelm him, Jay must struggle to stay in the game-and stay alive.

For Jay West a dream job with a promised million-dollar bonus at a prominent investment firm turns into a nightmare as he finds himself accused of insider trading. Stephen Frey's thriller takes Jay into the world of Wall Street and adds gunrunning and national and international politics to the equation. While the international connections seem a bit strained, Jack Garrett's narration keeps the novel moving at just the right pace. Although Garrett's Irish accents are inconsistent, his pace and subtlety keep the reader's interest by not overpowering the intrigue and allowing the story to build to its surprising ending. D.J.S.
